Chakra Balancing
Restoring even, healthy energy flow across the chakra system.
Chakra balancing is the practice of restoring an even, healthy flow of energy across the body's seven main energy centers, so that none is excessively open, depleted, or blocked. When the chakras are pictured as turning freely and in harmony, energy is said to move smoothly — supporting a felt sense of vitality and calm.
Sensing the centers. A practitioner first attunes to each chakra — through the hands, a pendulum, or intuition — noticing where energy feels overactive, sluggish, or stuck. Life's stresses are said to leave some centers racing and others quiet.
Restoring flow. Energy is then offered to settle the excess and replenish the lack, evening out the whole system. In Reiki, this is often done simply by resting the hands on or above each center in turn, from root to crown, letting the energy find its own balance.
Supportive tools. Colour, sound (each chakra linked to a tone), crystals, and breath are sometimes added to focus the work.
A whole-system view. Because the centers influence one another, balancing harmonizes the whole, not one part.
Chakra balancing is a traditional, complementary practice for relaxation and balance — a way of tending wellbeing, not a medical treatment.
