Crystals in Reiki
Using stones to focus, store, and amplify Reiki energy in a session.
Crystals are often used alongside Reiki to focus, store, and amplify healing energy. Many practitioners feel that stones — with their stable, ordered structure — hold and steady energy well, making them natural companions to hands-on work.
Common uses:
- On the body. Placing stones on or near the chakras during a session — amethyst at the crown, rose quartz at the heart — to focus energy where it's wanted.
- Charged with intention. "Programming" a crystal with Cho Ku Rei or a clear intention so it continues to radiate Reiki between sessions.
- Grids. Arranging several stones in a geometric pattern to hold a sustained intention — a crystal grid, sometimes combined with a Reiki box.
Choosing & caring. Practitioners choose stones by intuition or by traditional associations of colour and quality, and cleanse them regularly — with Reiki, water, smoke, or moonlight — so they don't hold onto stale energy.
A supporting role. Crystals are understood as helpers that focus the practitioner's intention; the healing is carried by the energy and the presence behind it.
Working with crystals is a complementary, intention-based practice for focus and calm — supportive of wellbeing, never a substitute for medical care.
