Reiki Box

A method of placing written intentions or objects to receive ongoing Reiki.

A Reiki box is a simple, much-loved tool for sending ongoing Reiki to many intentions at once. It is literally a box — any meaningful container — into which the practitioner places folded slips of paper bearing names, requests, goals, photographs, or small objects, each representing someone or something to receive healing.

How it's used. Once a day, the practitioner holds the box in their hands, often activating the distance symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, and offers Reiki to everything inside — trusting the energy to reach each intention for its highest good. A whole list of requests can be tended in a few minutes.

Why it helps. It lets a practitioner hold a large circle of people and wishes without an individual session for each, and it becomes a quiet daily ritual of care and remembrance. Old slips can be reviewed, given thanks for, and released as situations resolve.

A note on consent. As with all distant work, requests are offered "for the highest good, if they are willing to receive," honouring each person's free will.

The Reiki box is a gentle, complementary practice for steady, intention-based care — never a substitute for medical treatment.
