Seichim / Sekhem

An Egyptian-rooted living-light energy healing tradition, often paired with Reiki.

Seichim (also Sekhem or SKHM) is a system of "living light" energy healing with roots traced to ancient Egypt. The word is linked to the Egyptian sekhem, meaning "power" or "might" — here, the vital, sacred power of life. The modern practice is most associated with Patrick Zeigler, who described receiving it through a profound experience within the Great Pyramid.

Its character. Practitioners describe Seichim as a high, fluid, often heart-centered energy — frequently felt as flowing and expansive — that pairs naturally with Reiki. Many teach the two together, so that Reiki and Seichim weave as complementary currents.

How it's worked. Like Reiki, it is passed through attunement and channeled by light touch and intention, sometimes with its own symbols, and is offered for emotional healing, balance, and spiritual opening.

A living, branching tradition. Because it spread through many teachers, Seichim exists in numerous lineages and spellings, each with its own emphasis — a family of related practices rather than a single fixed system.

Seichim is a complementary, intention-based energy practice for relaxation and spiritual growth — never a substitute for medical care.
