Trimurti (Brahma · Vishnu · Shiva)

The Trimūrti is the Hindu trinity of the three great cosmic functions, personified as three deities who together express the eternal cycle of existence:

• Brahma — the Creator, who brings the universe and all beings into being.
• Vishnu — the Preserver, who sustains and protects creation, upholding order through the ages.
• Shiva — the Destroyer or Transformer, who dissolves the old so that creation may be renewed.

One reality, three faces. The Trimūrti expresses the understanding that creation, preservation, and dissolution are not separate forces but three movements of a single divine reality — the unending rhythm of birth, life, and renewal that turns through all of existence.

In practice. Contemplating the Trimūrti offers a way of honouring the whole cycle of life — welcoming beginnings, sustaining what is good, and releasing what must pass.
