Vibration / Vibrational Level

Vibration, or vibrational level, describes the idea that all energy — and so all things, feelings, and states of being — carries a characteristic frequency, from dense and heavy to high and refined. It is the "pitch" of energy: a way of speaking about quality and subtlety.

Low and high. Heavier states — fear, anger, despair, fatigue — are described as lower or denser vibrations; lighter states — love, joy, gratitude, peace — as higher, finer ones. The aim of much spiritual and energy practice is to gently raise one's vibration toward these lighter qualities.

Resonance. Like tuning forks, energies of similar frequency are said to resonate and attract one another — one reason practitioners cultivate uplifting states and clear environments, and why gratitude and loving-kindness are valued as practices.

In Reiki. Reiki is often described as a high-vibrational energy that, flowing through a person, helps lift and harmonize their own frequency — easing the dense, stuck places and restoring a lighter, clearer feeling.

A note on language. "Vibration" here is used in an experiential, metaphorical sense rather than as a measured physical frequency.

Vibrational level is a traditional lens for sensing energy and cultivating wellbeing — a way of describing inner states, not a clinical measure.
